HOW IT ALL STARTED...
Avis grew up in the great city of Thomasville, North Carolina. After graduating from high school she went on to attend North Carolina State University and graduated with a degree in Elementary Education. She grew up in a home where her mother was always cooking things from scratch and although she often had to be coerced to work in the kitchen back then, her love for cooking and baking blossomed during college. She enjoyed making cakes for friends birthdays and as she continued making things for friends and family she began to dream of what it would be like to pursue her love of baking and start a bakery. In 2017 as she began a season of transition in her life she took a leap of faith and launched AM Bakery! She is excited to see where this journey leads!
OUR DESIRE
As a bakery we aspire to create quality foods at a reasonable price. We put a lot of work into our creations with the hope that our work will be a blessing to our customers and our work will be a testament of God's glory and beauty. We believe that God is the one who has given us the unique passions and giftings that we have and we desire to be good stewards of those! It is an absolute delight to be a part of this work because we truly believe that it is a part of who we were created to be.
